Queer Geek News Roundup: June 11, 2017

  • A cryptic teaser offers a first look at Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, a biopic of Wonder Woman creator William Moulton Marston (played by Luke Evans) scheduled for release this October. The film will reportedly focus on Marston's polyamorous relationship with his wife Elizabeth (Rebecca Hall) and student-turned-lover Olive Byrne (Bella Heathcote).

  • Questionable queer erasure aside, I'm highly excited for February's Black Panther, whose first trailer promises eye-popping production design and what's no doubt the highest budget ever spent on a vision of Afrofuturism.

  • The week ended on a sad note, as actor Adam West (star of the beloved, ultra-campy 1960s Batman TV series) died at 88. West has remained a staple at Comic-Con and other geek events, and in recent years returned to the Batman role in video games and an animated movie.

As always, watch this site for more.
