Naked Heart – the LGBTQ Festival of Words is the largest LGBTQ literary festival in the world and the most diverse in Toronto. You'll find all the usual convention fare here: discussion panels, gaming, costuming, special events, etc. The difference is that it all has a queer bent to it. YaoiCon is a one-of-a-kind 18+ convention for fans of all things yaoi. Founded in 2001, the convention is run by dedicated staff and volunteers each year, and has been formally sponsored by Digital Manga, Inc., since 2012. OutWrite is a celebration of LGBT Literature. The weekend is full of book readings, writing workshops, book discussions, poetry readings and more. Several LGBT book publishers regularly exhibit at OutWrite. We will have both new and used LGBT books for sale all day long on Saturday August 5th. The 7th Annual OutWrite LGBT Book Festival will take place Friday August 4th through Sunday August 6th with most events taking place at the Reeves Center in Washington DC. Most of the book readings and the exhibit hall will take place on Saturday August 5th.
