Peter David's Stroke

Long-time comic writer Peter David suffered a stroke at the end of 2012 while vacationing in Florida with his family.  Peter has been a major geekdom writer for Star Trek, X-Factor, Young Justice, and Hulk for many years. winning a GLAAD Media Award in 2011 for his portrayal of Rictor and Shatterstar in X-Factor.

Fans will be happy to hear that his wife reports on his blog that he is recovering well and in good spirits.  Good news from today is that he walked for the first time following the stroke and that he is cleared for rehabilitation!  He even recently edited an X-Factor script for his Marvel editor.

His wife shares HOW YOU CAN HELP.

On a personal note, I had the pleasure of meeting Peter David at NYCC in October 2012 and even shared my sexuality with him and thanked him for his work on X-Factor.  I have been a fan of his for 20 years and sincerely wish him a speedy recovery.
