Jeff Krell and Mags Visaggio Join Us at Flame Con 2!

Jeff Krell created the long-running gay-themed humor strip Jayson, which debuted in the Philadelphia Gay News in 1983 and enjoyed long runs in Gay Comix and Meatmen. Since 2005 Krell has been publishing original Jayson graphic novels including Jayson Goes to Hollywood and Jayson Gets a Job! Krell also translates for famed German cartoonist Ralf König.

Mags is the creator and writer of the raucus comic Kim & Kim, a day-glo action adventure that’s bursting with energy and enthusiasm. It puts queer women and trans women front and center, with a story that embraces the absurd alongside realistic pathos.

Blending the punk exuberance of Tank Girl with the buddy adventure wackiness of Super Bad (if Michael Cera was a trans woman and Jonah Hill a queer girl partner in crime), Kim & Kim focuses on the power and meaning of female friendships as engines of validation.

Flame Con is August 20-21 at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott in Brooklyn, NY. Purchase tickets here.
