Queer comics pioneer Howard Cruse recently posted a panorama strip from 1984. It beautifully shows how the theme of pride can resonate through all types of people, across many generations, and in a variety of different ways. He writes:
Time-Machine Time! In 1984 a June installment of my Wendel comic strip portrayed the thoughts of Wendel, Ollie, and other at that year’s Gay Pride rally. The strip was actually a repeating panoramic loop (as I’ve emphasized by rearranging the panels end-to-end online) with but one mildly prescient exception to the repetition. Happy LGBT Pride Month to all!
