The epically-geeky named Benedict Cumberbatch has already won our hearts as Masterpiece's curly-topped Sherlock (with Bilbo Baggins himself as his redoubtable Watson) and as the mystery-shrouded villain in May's upcoming Star Trek: Into Darkness opposite out sci-fi dreamboat Zachary Quinto.
