'Ender's Game', 'Superman' And Anti-Gay Bigotry
More and more, the sci-fi, comic book, gaming and anime communities are coming out in favor of equality for their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) friends, superheroes and artists. While these communities remain fairly dominated by straight guys, it's rare to see homophobic messages stated, and when they are, they're frequently challenged by allies.

Great to see this being considered and people like Scott Card being brought to account. The idea that authors can stretch their (and our ) minds in so many ways but project 20th century homophobia and heterosexism forward millennia is boring at the very least. My fave trilogy Nights Dawn by Peter Hamilton really irks me for this, no fags, but dykes for male fantasy. Yawn.
