PopCult Anime Con 2017

PopCult Anime Con (PCAC) celebrated its second year August 19 and 20 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel andConference Center in Framingham, MA! Many details were improved upon and added to the agenda and it was apparent just how well this con is growing.

Among the guests this year were: cosplayer Kitteninstrings Cosplay, cosplayer CiaoBirdie Cosplay, YouTuber Doppoganga, and Taiko Drummers from Odaiko New England. Guests ran panels corresponding to their specialties. The beautiful, beach-time art for the convention programs and badges was once again created by artist Sin D’Angelo.

The panels this year were as diverse as they were fun: one of the standouts was the 18+ Cosplay Dating Game. The contestants were as responsive and excited as the audience. The Gaming Room was large and featured both video gaming and tabletop gaming. The Manga Library had more than 1,000 books that attendees could sit and read if they wanted to chill for a little while. If anyone else wanted to chill by watching anime, there was a Video Room for just that. The Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center is a perfect venue for a convention of this size and all the rooms are in a central location. A bonus for convention-goers was that the hotel has two pools, one indoor and one outdoor, which is a great feature for an end of summer convention!

Keep an eye on PCAC website, like them on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter to find more information about the convention and for updates throughout the year!
