Geeks OUT Bloggers at Flame Con 2

A number of the Geeks OUT bloggers will be tabling and taking part in numerous panels at Flame Con this weekend. Here's a quick little guide on where they who they are and where you can find them.

Alexa Cassaro - Table 5

Alexa Cassaro is an Illustrator, printmaker, craftsman, and fabricator from the NY, NJ area. Much of their work is YA related consisting of very strong sassy female characters, sensitive males, and curious genderless characters existing in an emotional and dramatic world. Their comics tend to have LGBTA+ and Gender Identity subjects. They support all the angsty confused teens and anime trash out there. Don’t be afraid to stop by table 5 and share your inner glitter with Alexa.


Aria Baci

Aria Baci is a pop cultural journalist and the creator of the upcoming comic series Dismantlers, who also works an Editorial Director for Geeks OUT when she's not perfecting her eye shadow technique. She'll be moderating the panel Worlds Better Than Our Own (on Sunday at 2:00 PM in Room C), featuring Alex London (Proxy), Steve Orlando (Namesake, Midnighter), Soman Chainani (The School for Good and Evil), and Donna Minkowitz (Growing Up Golem) in a discussion about speculative social change and world-building with a focus on establishing positive queer identities.


Brian Olsen. - Table 86

Brian Olsen is a writer of queer sci fi adventure novels from NYC. He's a theater person, comic geek and Doctor Who fanatic. He will be doing a short reading from “The Dystopia Spell” as part of Saturday’s Queercopia presentation. (Saturday, 1pm, Panel Room B).

His titles Include: “Alan Lennox and the Temp Job of Doom” – First in four-part “Future Next Door” series. Four NYC roommates get caught up in the murderous machinations of a sinister megacorporation. The entire series is available now! There is also “The Dystopia Spell” – First in the “Multiverse Mashup” series. Jed is an Agent of the Crossroads, patrolling the multiverse for dangerous crossovers. This time out, Jed intercedes when a future sci-fi dystopia is invaded by monsters from a sword-and-sorcery fantasy realm.


Daniel Stalter - Table 115

Daniel Stalter is the writer and creator of the indie comic Dream Crasher, an organizing member of the Brooklyn Speculative Fiction Writers, a dog lover and an aspiring Sith/Vulcan hybrid. He will be tabling along side the Kaleidocast podcast series at Table 115, and doing a reading on Dream Crasher as a part of Sunday's Queercopia presentation. (Saturday, 12pm, Panel Room B).


Lewd Alfred Douglas -Table 122

Lewd Alfred Douglas will be performing burlesque at Firestarter on Friday night and helping you create trans characters on Sunday's Help! How Do I Write a Trans Character? panel (12pm, room A). He will and on the Erotica and Hannibal panels! He will also be at Table 122 with his husband, Fyodor Pavlov with the premiere of the Bash Back comic.
