The last few Earth 2s have suuuuucked, but Dr. Fate intrigues me.

And yay... All-New X-Men... and mmmmm Nubile Cyclops (always had a huge crush on him).

I think Dr. Fate did the trick: I really liked the story! And it turns out that Wotan, one of Dr. Fate's classic nemeses, is literally a woman who transitioned into a man! Defo hoping they play to the trans theme!

Yeah, it seems like the tone of Earth-2 changes with every issue. I haven't picked up the last couple of issues, and I may hold off until Trinity War starts.

IMO, check this one out. The character of Dr. Fate adds a lot of dimension to the story, plus they've gotten a lot of the constant stream of introductions out of the way that slowed down the first few issues. (And, for a gauge on this opinion, I liked the end of issue 7 but thought issue 8 was slow and uneventful.)

Fairest is pretty great, though there is some lesbianism in it that seems pretty...obligitory.  I mean, for a comic about pretty girls that is overseen by a republican writer.

Jakey, I stopped following Tarot, Witch of the Black Rose because it was essentially erotica, but I still follow Hack/Slash because, even though it is the DEFINITION of the male power fantasy, it also seems to have some literary merit. And I never followed Buffy as queer (other than that one night) because she didn't stay in the "Questioning" mode for more than an issue or two. Where would you say that Fairest falls? Does Rapunzel identify with a queer sexuality?

Fearless Defenders is off to a promising start!

Based on your recommendation I picked it up and it was AWESOME! And Dr. Annabelle Riggs is both my hero and, while Warehouse 13 is on hiatus, a more than adequate H.G. Wells stand-in.
