Queer Geek News Roundup: May 6, 2018

  • A new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp appears to return us to happier, pre-Thanos days in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, when Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly could dodge giant salt shakers and kitchen knives without any mad titans around.

  • A very meta trailer for Teen Titans GO! To The Movies finds Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire looking to prove their cinematic value by making Deathstroke (Will Arnett) their arch-villain.

  • Fans of bleak futuristic visions can rejoice: only a few episodes into their respective second seasons, HBO's Westworld and Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale have both been renewed for third seasons.

  • A Swamp Thing series is in the works for DC's upcoming streaming service, now known as DC Universe. Meanwhile, the previously announced Metropolis, following Lois Lane and Lex Luthor in the titular city prior to Superman's arrival, has been delayed for "redevelopment."

  • A new trailer for Hulu's Stephen King series Castle Rock offers a premiere date (July 25) and lots of creepiness.

  • If you thought superhero team-ups couldn't get any bigger than Infinity War, think again: they've got nothing on Deadpool and Celine Dion.
