Queer Geek News Roundup: March 25, 2018

  • The last runaway-teen-superhero TV effort from Marvel (Runaways) was pretty solid, so I'm hoping that Freeform's Cloak and Dagger establishes a trend. The network this week released a new trailer for the show, which follows the romantically-charged adventures a pair of teen runaways given powers by medical experiments.

  • The new trailer for Deadpool 2 delivers some foul-mouthed Merc with a Mouth shenanigans, as well as the official introduction of X-Force.

  • Roller-disco diva, mutant, and superhero: Marvel's Dazzler has always had the resume to be a gay icon, even if her fanbase is lacking. She'll finally be getting a new comic this June, from trans writer Magdalene Visaggio. Sadly, the comic is just a one-shot, but if it gets enough buzz, who knows?
